Residential patrols

A marked patrol through your street after dark, checking what we agreed to check, with a report waiting for you in the morning.

What it is

Most break-ins are opportunistic. Someone walks a street, looks for the house with the gate open, the light out or the car unlocked, and moves on when something makes it hard. A marked vehicle turning up at odd hours is one of the cheapest things that makes it hard.

A residential patrol is exactly that. Our vehicle comes through on a schedule you do not have to think about, at times that vary so they cannot be predicted from the outside. Our officer checks what you have asked us to check, notes anything out of place, and logs the visit.

You read what happened. Not a summary at the end of the month, but the actual record of when we came past and what we found.

What each patrol covers

You tell us what matters at your place when you sign up, and that becomes the checklist our officer works from.

  • A visible pass of your street and frontage in a marked vehicle
  • Checks on the points you nominate, such as gates, sheds, side access or a vehicle left out
  • A look for anything that has changed since the last visit
  • A timestamped record of every visit, readable the next morning
  • A call to you if we find something that will not keep until morning

Joining

Subscribing is done online and takes a few minutes. You enter your address, tell us what you want watched, and set up payment.

We patrol suburb by suburb, so coverage depends on how many households in your area have signed up. If we are not running in your street yet, register anyway. We use that to decide where we open next, and we will let you know as soon as your area is live.

If you would rather talk it through before committing, call 0484 333 100 or send us a note. There is no contract to sign before you have asked your questions.

Not a home alarm

A patrol and an alarm do different jobs. An alarm tells someone after a person is already inside. A patrol is about them deciding not to try in the first place, and about someone noticing the things an alarm never sees, like a gate that has been open for three nights.

Plenty of our subscribers have both. If you are weighing it up, ask us and we will give you an honest answer about whether a patrol is worth it for your street.
